IIPM B School Ahmedabad – ISTANBUL & PARIS
It doesn’t get any bigger than this! IIPM Ahmedabad students explored the two beautiful cities in Europe -Paris and Istanbul, during their GOTA trip. The journey started from the city which connects two continents-Asia and Europe. IIPM Ahmedabad students experienced and lived the thrilling beauty of the city of Istanbul where they visited all the famous places like The Blue Mosque, Dalmabache Palace, to name a few, and also enjoyed a wonderful cruise. In a short stay at Istanbul, students got an opportunity to visit the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce wherein they were given exposure to the Turkish economy and the jewelry industry with prime focus on ‘Trading of Gold’. The journey continued from Istanbul to the famous fashion city- Paris… In Paris students of IIPM Ahmedabad were having the time of their lives. The scenic beauty was simply mind-boggling and so were the lectures. Students went to all the famous museums, monuments, shopping malls and also to the centre of attraction of Paris-The Eiffel Tower. On an off day all the students entertained themselves when they visited The Disney Land. Moreover, the lectures organized by IIPM added a lot a value and gave excellent insights to the students on various topics, and it was also a nice experience for the students to have interacted with stalwarts like; Mr. Santanu Mukherjee, CEO, SBI international; Mr. Mohan Kumar, Advisor, Embassy of India; Mr. Amarendra Kolipakam, Business Manager, Infosys, to name a few. Later, students got the opportunity to visit one of the best shopping malls in the world known as ‘Gallerie Laffeyate’ where all the students had gone crazy and ended up shopping a lot by paying in Euros! Apart from all the learning and fun the best thing was the weather which was a bit unpredictable but enjoyable because of the unexpected snow fall. In all, it was a memorable trip for all the students and they will reminisce and cherish all the golden moments that they spent in both Istanbul and Paris.
GOTA is not just restricted to organizational visits and attending lectures by Ivy League Faculty members; rather, it gives a good opportunity to explore and understand about various markets and learn about different cultures and people and their tastes and preferences…
