The Indian Construction Industry has growing consistently from registering a growth of 12 percent in 2000-2005 the industry is projected to grow at 25-30 percent during 2005-2010. The prime drivers of the growth are government investment in infrastructure development and increasing real estate demand in the residential and industrial sectors.

Today, the construction industry is looked upon as the second largest in India after agriculture. It is said to account for about 11 percent of India’s GDP. The growth in the construction industry has spurred the growth of construction machinery industry as well in India.

Today, Construction machineries made in India include: Concrete Mixer Machine, Mobile Batching Plant, Road Divider, Mini Mobile Batching Plant, Reversible Mobile Batching Unit, Hoist, Way-Batcher, Curb Cutter, Any Type of Curb Mould, Hollow Block Machines, Manual Machines, Vibrating Machines, Hydraulic Hollow Block Making Machine,Concrete Mixer, Bar Cutting Machine,Stationary Type Block Making Machine,Bar Bending Machines.

For that matter, even heavy machinery is being manufactured in sizeable scale in India to support the ever growing Indian Construction business, so naturally the export market of Indian construction machinery is also on the rise. Almost all types of heavy construction machinery are crafted from computerized systems. Although an operator is required for operations, many of the operations are carried out by the system itself with the operator supervising the equipment's functionality.

New Developments in the Construction Machinery Industry

A new concept called ‘work cell’ with regards to heavy construction is being talked about. According to this concept a single operator would function from a work station, and operate two or three pieces of equipments rather than operating single equipment. Nonetheless, to translate this concept into a reality the machines should have some sensory or automated control so that certain functions can be managed mechanically. No doubt, the heavy construction has traveled a long distance and will become more incredible in the days to come.
