CASTE SYSTEM WAS AND COULD BE MORE OF
A STATES-MAN THOUGHT THAN A RELIGIOUS STRICTURE.
CASTE SYSTEM HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ONE’S RELIGION, FAITH,
SPIRITUALITY AND THE REALIZATION SOUGHT.
RATHER IT WAS A MUST FOR A FUNCTIONING SOCIETY
AND TO SEE THE SOCIETY AS A WHOLE IS FUNCTIONING
TAKING CARE OF ALL CORNERS AND WALKS OF LIFE.

Education or getting educated means:

Keeping away from basics of life
And from doing all kinds of basic works of
Agriculture, farming, fishing, cleaning, butchery, etc.

Keeping away from toiling and soiling
And getting closer to the easy indirect method of
Earning at the cost of other, under different pretexts.

That makes the main reason of unemployment.
Educated people’s unpreparedness
To do any work that is available
Or their waiting only for certain kind of work.

Here to solve this, somehow,
Won’t we need to re-invoke caste system,
Without re-introducing apartheid and untouchability,
To ensure distribution of work force to all sectors sufficiently,
And employment to all,
As it was the essence and core meaning of caste system?

With a concept that all types of works are equally respected
And equally protected in terms of
Facilities one need to live and survive decently.

After all, life is life.
And life’s satisfaction and realization can’t be measured
Just because one lives a secure life of luxuries
Or one lives a poor insecure and denied life.

Heights and depths of one’s life do not necessarily indicate
Heights and depths of one’s realization and satisfaction
Or of one’s attaining life’s mission or its meaning and goal
As it would have been set or defined or sought by life/God.

Caste system was and could be more of
A states-man thought than a religious stricture.

Caste system had nothing to do with one’s religion, faith,
Spirituality and the realization sought.

Rather it was a must for a functioning society
And to see the society as a whole is functioning
Taking care of all corners and walks of life.

But, in getting implemented and applied a system
Blindly and strictly, it was a must to mix up religion and faith
With this states man thought.

For the simple reason that, except with a religious touch of faith
Nothing can easily be implemented to be followed strictly and blindly.

Even corporate companies cannot move forward
Without applying, one or other way,
This concept of caste system.

Never the chairman and office boy of a company
Will be considered and valued equally
And never will they be given equal facilities and allowances.
Never the chief minister and sweeper and at street are taken as same
And never are they paid up with the same basic minimum salary.

It is only a human fate
That he has/had to work to live.

He has/had to work, one or other way,
Under the command of others.

If he had to work to sustain himself
There, compulsorily, will come and happen
Caste system and its application.

Given the glittering nature and easy indirect way of
Amassing wealth and leading a life so luxurious,
Without too much of toiling and soiling,
Relaxing and enjoying risk-free life at the cost of others,
And if given chance to all to opt and choose,
No one will seem to opt or choose to be
A farmer or a fisherman
Or a butcher or a shepherd
And any one (90+ % ) will seem to choose or opt
To be (and work) a politician or a bureaucrat,
Or a doctor, or an engineer or an school teacher,
Or a consultant, pr an office bearer
Or at the maximum/minimum a businessman.

And if our present day education program
Is only meant to creating and getting jobs of these kinds
And hatch more of doctors and engineers, bureaucrats,
Govt. officials, school teachers, politicians,
Consultants, office bearers and businessmen,
Time is ripe for us now to think
From where will we find and bring in
The farmers, shepherds, fisherman,
Butchers, cobblers, carpenters, sweepers,
And such many other types of workers,
That is more important to support
Our mere existence and sustenance.

And it is very clear that
The outlook of our advertized modern education system
Doesn’t seem to promote any of the above.

Even if it is claimed or pretending
That it is promoting such fields
Of farmers, shepherds, fisherman,
Butchers, cobblers, carpenters,
It is only a claim and pretension of name sake.

And who will voluntarily will opt for these
Except for being weak and poor.

That is the reason, pretty clearly,
That no one is attracted to these,
Except for their helplessness
For no other choice.

Just for the reason that these works are
Of toiling and soiling nature
And are not as glittering and luxurious
As the white collar jobs,
And are with less safe and secure
With less chance of easy money making
At the cost of others.

Is not here our anciently prevalent caste system
Getting more meaning.

Caste-system was basically, as it is well-known,
Meant for division and distribution of work-force
Equally to all sectors with no discrimination among the sectors,
Though it was wrongly interpreted and implemented later on.

It was meant to ensure for better functioning of
A better system with a better society
In which all the works and requirements
Get attended, without having to complain later.

It pre-defined and pre-determined
And made it compulsory to the society to see
Certain portion of its population will attend certain sector.
So work-force equally distributed to all sectors.

Weren’t then the caste system justified?

Especially if it was never meant to ill-treat the other
On the basis of the work he was doing.

Now our present day situation has come up with a problem
That no one would need to do certain works in certain sector.

Is there a solution to this,
Except reintroducing caste system?

Otherwise,
Every one will wait till his time, helplessly,
To get an opening in such fields of his choice.

And only he is helplessly helpless,
He will enter into other sectors, if at all,
For the just reason of having no other choice.

Name it as caste system or ill-luck by helplessness.
One or other way we can see one does the same.

To this the government and governors
Should start seeing all walks of life
Are equally respected and protected
Without giving any chance to any one to prefer one to other
Just for the reason of more security, respect and earning from it.

Especially basic sectors of agriculture and fishing
Which brings us the basic products and things
That enable us to sustain our life
And fill the dining tables of Mr. Obama and Manmohan Sing

After all, life is life.
And life’s satisfaction and realization is not met
Just because one lives a secure life of luxuries
Or one lives poor and denied life.
