I have read a lot of about team building & working in groups, so I am going to share some points with you. A Team is a group of different persons who having same goals to achieve. But in my view, if a team is going to build one should try to remember few points:-

  1. Select suitable candidates from different departments according to the task.
  2. Take a small task for team before giving them the real one.
  3. Call whole team in a meeting & introduce them with there designation/ qualities.
  4. Let them free for 15 to 30 minutes for a free-talk, so that they can understand each other well.
  5. Recall whole team again & explain that small task to them with the time limit.
  6. Leave the hall (but monitor them from a hidden place, how each & every person is working for task, if possible then use CC camera but remember nobody should not aware of it).
  7. When the time limit becomes complete enters in to hall & check the ‘Output’.
  8. Call each member individually & ask for the feedback of every member (pretend that you don’t know anything about them).
  9. Collect all the data in a file, and analyse the data.
  10. Find out the conclusion weather the team is able for the real task or not, any amendment in a team (replacing or removing any member) can make it perfect.

The points mentioned above can be applicable for the long term task, but it can be practice (in free time) to make or find suitable teams in an organization. The collected data can be use for future also.

The idea behind writing this blog is that many times I found only few members in a team works & blame each other for the wrong output. I remember my Sir Words, “if you are a member of a team then your identity is your team not you individually.” So try to understand every once working style in a team, work according to the team because it can save time & gives more better output than an individual.
