The Problem
One of our customer is involved in providing “IT Enabled Services” (ITES) to Telecom and Banking sector. Their primary activity is to collect Bill Payments (Cash, Cheque) directly from customer’s location. To perform this activity, Executives go into the field, visit customer, collect payment / feedback for nonpayment and finally at the end of the day enter the feedback, receipt info etc. using the desktop application.
This pattern of work, causes many problems like –
* Lack of real time information
* Lack of accuracy
* No tracking of field persons and their activities
* Insecure (problematic in case of receipt book lost)
* Delay in reporting to clients
The Solution
Orbis will implement a mobile based solution to automate the entire process. The solution consists of a mobile application that will be used by the field Executives and server side application. Using the mobile application, Executives can enter the collection details and feedback directly to the server as and when they visit the customers. Following are the features of the solution:
* The customer information will be available in the mobile application
* Submit the data to the server using GPRS connection
* Print receipts using the light weight printer connected to mobile using Bluetooth
* Executives can see the pending visits
* Administrators/Leads can see the activity of field Executives live
