How to reset Vista Password with or without password reset disk
Windows Vista was designed to be able to create password reset disk without any other third party tools. If you remember the password, you could create a password reset disk through Windows Vista′s control panel in advance. And if you forgot Windows Vista password and was unable to log on to your computer, you need to use the disk to reset it.
Now you could use the disk to reset Windows Vista password. Now you could follow these simple steps to create one:
Step 1: Start your computer and log on Windows Vista.
Step 2: Insert an USB flash drive into your computer.
Step 3: Click Start > Control Panel > User Accounts and Family Safety > User Accounts > Create a windows Vista password reset disk.
Step 4: You will see the welcome screen. Click Next.
Step 5: Select your USB flash drive. Click Next.
Step 6: Type the login password in the password field. Click Next (now Windows Vista operating system should automatically create the Vista password reset disk for you).
Step 7: When the processes finish, Click Finish to exit.
You have successfully created a password reset disk now. Please note that one disk can only work for one account. You could not use this disk to bypass windows vista password of another user account.
When you cannot access Windows Vista without disk, Windows Login Recovery would be your best choice. Is designed to recover Windows Vista password, you can resort to Windows Login Recovery if you feel the need to do Windows Vista password recovery.
1. Download and install Windows login Recovery.
2. Burn a CD/DVD.
3. Set CD/DVD as the first boot device in BIOS.
4. Perform Windows Vista password bypass.
Note: This solution can also be used when Windows 7/XP/2000 password is forgotten and unknown. Never worry about Vista password recovery when you lost it then. Surely, if you have no password reset disk, you’d better make one at this time.
