Put Your iPod Touch Apps in a Folder
iPod touch devices that use iOS 4.0 support the use of application folders. You can use folders to group all of your games, productivity software, browsers and social networking apps in their own categories so that you can access apps more easily. Folders also declutter the iPod's "Home" screen and can hold up to 12 apps per folder.
Step 1
Press down on the application you want to put in a folder until the app's icon wiggles and displays an "X" in the left corner.
Step 2
Drag the app and drop it on top of another app that you want to place in the folder. Your iPod will create a folder for both the applications. It will automatically assign a contextual name for the folder, which you can choose to change. Press the "Home" button to return to the list of apps.
Step 3
Drag other apps and drop them on the newly created folder to add them to the folder.
