AIMA to hold HR Summit on creating value & catalyzing growth

All India Management Association (AIMA) is organizing the National HRM Summit on August 20 and 21, 2010 in New Delhi. The theme for the Summit is ‘Positioning HR to Create Value and Catalyse Growth. Achieving more with our demographic dividend’. The role of the Summit Director will be played by Yogi Sriram, Executive Vice President (HR & Administrative Services), Larsen & Toubro Ltd (E & C).

The objective behind this Summit is to stimulate strategic HR thought for enhancing performance. Businesses are facing new and unpredictable challenges each day. It is the function of the HR to respond by undergoing a fundamental transformation. “HR must work towards creating a context for innovation and inclusion in the face of ambiguity and the unexpected,” says AIMA.
AIMA mentions that the problems faced by HR managers are to make the Generation Y ‘work ready’ and to groom Gen X as capable and willing mentors for them. The Summit will discuss and find out solution on these issues.
