BITS Pilani Goa won national round of CIMA Global Business Challenge

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has announced BITS Pilani Goa as the winner of the national round of the CIMA Global Business Challenge-2010. At the India finale of the 2010 CIMA  Global  Business Challenge held at the JW Marriot, Mumbai, on 29 May 2010, IIT  Delhi, Sri Ram College of Commerce Delhi, Christ University Bangalore, Jain University Bangalore,NMIMS University MumbaiBITS Pilani Goa and St.Josephs  College  of  Commerce Bangalore competed to represent India at the global final to be held in Malaysia.


There  were  total  169  teams  from all over India who participated in the competition. The finalists went through a rigorous selection process, which include  a  case  study  report submission and a regional final before they made  it  to the India Final. Team BITS Pilani was declared the winner by a team of judges that comprised of reputed industry leaders.


The  winning  team  will now represent India and compete with teams from 12 other countries such as UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, China, Malaysia, Pakistan,  Philippines,  Singapore,  South Africa, UAE and Australia at the global final to be held in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) in August 2010.


The  CIMA Global Business Challenge is part of CIMA’s endeavour to prepare the  student  community for the world of business.The  CIMA  Global  Business  Challenge 2010   is  an international business management competition  open to full time undergraduates of  public  and  private colleges and universities. Teams from 13 countries viz.  UK,  Ireland, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, India, China, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore,  South  Africa, UAE, Philippines and Australia, will participate in  this  year’s  Global  Final  at Kuala Lumpur.
