The evening of 6^th November 2009 saw the serene NITIE lawns spring alive to the sound of rock as the students of NITIE let their hair down with Decibelz, the rock show of their annual business fest Prerana 2009. Local band Talash opened the show with a cover of “Bandeh” from Indian Ocean and “Pichle Saat Din” from Rock On. Once the crowd was warmed up for the headliners Parikrama, the maestros of Indian rock set the stage afire. Parikrama performed their own compositions “Vapourize” and “But It Rained” along with covers of Pink Floyd and Metallica. Their impromptu variations and improvisations made the crowd go wild.

Besides the students of the NITIE, present among the audience was Mumbai's young crowd, particularly those from neighbouring colleges and those participating in Prerana 2009. With screeching fusion of guitar and violin solos, the evening witnessed sheer musical brilliance personified.
