MAT September 2010 on Sep 5 & 11 onwards for both formats
Management Aptitude Test (MAT), the entrance exam conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) has announced its dates for the third exam in the year, to be held in September. The MBA entrance exam will be held in both paper pencil and computer based forMATs. The September MAT 2010 will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2010 for the paper pencil for MAT and from Saturday, September 11, 2010 onwards, the computer based exam will be held.
The duration of the exam is two-and-a-half hours. The paper pencil for MAT will be held from 10 am to 12.30 pm. For the computer based for MAT, the number of time slots has not been decided yet. “The timings for the computer based test will be different Time slots in different venues. It is subject to number of candidates registering for the computer based test,” says AIMA. For the last MAT exams being held since September 2009, the computer based tests were held in three days in three slots each.
Eligibility
The candidates applying for CAT September 2010 should be Graduates in any discipline. Students from the final year of Graduation can also apply.
Important Dates
The last date of sale of forms is Monday, August 9, 2010. The last date to submit the completed forms is Thursday, August 12, 2010. The last date to submit the online application form is Monday, August 16, 2010.
The Admit Cards will be available on the AIMA website seven days prior to the MBA entrance exam. With the effect of the paper pencil based test, the Admit Cards will be downloadable from the website from Sunday, August 28, 2010 onwards.
Test Centers
The MAT September 2010 will be held in 50 test centers. 48 test centers are in India. There are two international test centers in Dubai and Singapore.
Participating Institutes
For the September MAT 2010, 33 MBA institutes across India will be accepting the scores. Some of the notable MBA institutes are IILM Academy of Higher Learning, Jaipur; Institute of Rural Management, Jaipur and Jodhpur; Xavier Institute of Development Action & Studies, Jabalpur, to name a few.
