From January 2011, the Amrut Mody School of Management of Ahmedabad University will begin a one-year executive management programme for those people who belong to business families. One needs to pursue a formal training that teaches the tricks to combat these basic issues and also serve as a great learning tool for young entrepreneurs.

The programme in collaboration with Cambridge Executive Education, Judge Business School, University of Cambridge will also include a six-week immersion module at the University of Cambridge, said Anubhai. On completion of this programme students will receive a MBA degree from AU as well as a certificate each from Pembroke-King's Programme and JBS. The students will also connect with the Cambridge ecosystem and meet participants from over 30 countries.

A key feature of the programme is that the each participant will have a member of the faculty as a mentor who will provide guidance not only for the duration of the programme but also after the completion of the programme. The students will have mentors who will be from renowned B-schools including the present and formers teachers of IIMs. The students who are graduates and have valid GMAT/CAT or equivalent test scores will be able to apply for the course and clear a personal interview. During selection, the student's leadership potential, interpersonal skills and contribution to the current business will also be seen as a parameter.
