AIMA to launch recruitment test for corporate

All India Management Association (AIMA) is launching a new test for the recruiters to select the best suited management candidates, Management Aptitude and Skills Test (MAST). Rekha Sethi, Director General, AIMA mentions that the test has been launched by AIMA keeping in mind the challenge faced by the recruiters for selecting the right candidates. "Recruitment has become a challenge for most companies and choosing the right candidate is becoming not only very difficult but expensive too. Looking at a growing need for initial screening of candidates, AIMA is launching a new test, MAST," she says.
Talking about the advantages of MAST, Sethi mentions, "MAST will support the recruiters to reach out to the best suited fresh management talent through a cost effective process, and will evaluate the Management students across the B-Schools in India for their employability skills as desired by the industry."
MAST will evaluate the important skills of the student which will include critical thinking, cross-functional competence, communication skills, key personality traits and cultural awareness, full competence in their discipline and technological competence.
AIMA is best known for Management Aptitude Test (MAT), the management entrance exam for more than 500 B-schools in India and is taken by over 3,00,000 students. "AIMA is best suited to fulfill its mandate of promoting the management movement in the country, by launching a screening test for B-school graduates," says Sethi.
