Q. Could you briefly tell us about the
institute?
Asia-Pacific Institute of Management was established in 1996, with a vision to be an academic institution of “first choice” to transform lives that will change the world for the better, at whatever level of human endeavor they are involved. The Institute has achieved a status of distinction by following the path envisioned by its founders. Asia-Pacific Institute of Management is ranked today amongst the top Business Schools in the country.
Q. What are the courses offered?
Asia-Pacific offer six programmes, all approved and recognized as equivalent to MBA by AICTE, with a total of 420seats. These are: AICTE Approved Two Year Full-Time Programmes
• Post Graduate Diploma in Management: PGDM (NBA Accredited)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Marketing): PGDM (M)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Management (International Business): PGDM (IB)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Banking & Financial Services): PGDM (BFS)
AICTE Approved Three Year Part-Time Programmes
• Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management: Executive - PGDM
• Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Marketing): Executive - PGDM (M)
Q. What is the fee structure like?
The fees are Rs. 7.5 Lakhs for the Full-Time PGDM Programmes and Rs. 3 Lakhs for the Part -Time Executive PGDM Programmes to be paid in six installments. Each year is divided into three terms and the fee is paid prior to commencement of each term.

Asia-Pacific has a core faculty strength of 42.
Q. What is the profile of your faculty?
Asia-Pacific has a balanced core faculty with academic excellence & industry experience. The core faculty comprises of eminent academicians who have been educated in FMS-Delhi, IIT-D, IIT-M, IISC, ISI, IIM-A, IIM-B, IRMA, BITS-Pilani etc. The visiting faculty are well known educators with significant academic and industry exposure. Guest Speakers from around the world to expose students to global best practices in management education.
Q. Tell us about your admission process.
The eligibility criteria for full-time PGDM Programme is a Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% aggregate marks under 10+2+3 system or equivalent in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities or approved by AICTE. Asia-Pacific uses CAT/ mat scores for short-listing candidates. Candidates with a recognized bachelor's degree in any discipline of minimum 3 years duration and minimum 2 years work experience are eligible for the three year part-time Executive Programmes.Internal evaluation of Asia-Pacific, consisting of Group Discussion, Personal Interview, and Written Communication, accounts for major criteria for the selection process.
Q. What is the cut-off (in relevant entrance exam) for candidates to be called for a GD and PI?
Asia-Pacific uses CAT/MAT scores for short-listing candidates. The minimum eligibility criteria are 500 mat score or 80 percentile in cat and 50% in Graduation. However, the selected students generally have considerably higher relevance entrance examination score than the minimum qualifying marks.
Q. What kind of background and profile does your institute look for in new students?
Students with engineering background and from reputed universities/colleges are given preference
Q. What weightage is given to pre - MBA work experience?
5 % weightage for admission is given in the overall selection process to students with prior work experience.

Organizations from almost all verticals such as, Automobile, Banking, Chemical, Consulting, Engineering, Financial Services, FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Insurance, IT, KPO, Logistics / Shipping, Manufacturing, Media / Advertising, Microfinance, Real Estate, Research, Retail and Telecom sectors are invited for the recruitment .
There is a focus on the disciplines in which majors are offered in the PGDM programme, namely Marketing, Finance, International Business, Operations Management, HR & IT. There is also target based focus areas for the specialized programmes, namely Marketing, International Business and Banking & Financial Services.
