CAMPUS PLACEMENT ACTIVITY ZOOMS IN BIMTECH
Conforming to the general trend of rising recruitment activities in the country owing to increased economic. upturn, campus placements are significantly on the up in the Birla Institute of Management Technology, Greater Noida this year as compared to the recession hit previous year. The highlight of this year’s corporate recruitment activity is that companies are visiting the campus a month earlier than last year with BIMTECH’s first placement coming through on 1st October 2010. In addition to IT companies, FMCG, Pharma, Consultancy and Manufacturing companies are visiting the campus full strength and with greater pay offers.
The most noteworthy placement event this month has been the recruitment of 49 BIMTECH students at one stretch by Infosys consultancy in various competency fields. This recruitment is so far the highest campus placement in the Greater Noida area campuses. The compensation levels offered to students has gone up nearly by 30% this year. So far approximately 30% of the final year students have been placed.
Among the companies recruiting from BIMTECH are Infosys, TCS Wipro, L & T, HCL, HDFC, Public Sector Banks, Zee Telefilms, Tata Group companies, Marico, Future Group, Madura Garments, Aditya Birla Group Companies etc. The recruiters have generally expressed their satisfaction with the knowledge and soft skill competencies of BIMTECH’s students.
