In a Press Meet held in New Delhi today, i.e. 25 November, the IIMs have announced that there will be no delay in the declaration of the CAT 2010 results.

Addressing the media personnel Prof. Himanshu Rai, CAT 2010 Convener and IIM Lucknow faculty said, “The results will be declared on 12 January 2011, as scheduled earlier.”

Prof. Rai also clearly indicated that the GD-PI rounds will be held in February 2011 for the candidates who will be shortlisted by the IIMs.

The Press Meet was also attended by Dr. Devi Singh, Director, IIM Lucknow; Ramesh Nava, VP & GM, Asia Pacific, Japan & Africa, Prometric; Soumitra Roy, Managing Director, Prometric India.

Expressing satisfaction with the execution of CAT 2010, Dr. Devi Singh said, “We are relieved! The CAT 2010 has gone smoothly. This will help in consolidating the MBA education sector in our country.”

Prof. Rai also expressed his happiness. Addressing the B-school representatives and the gathered journalists he said, “IIMs and Prometric did everything possible for making CAT 2010 a grand success. We have bigger plans for the future. We are aiming towards making CAT a global exam, which will be available round the year.”
