Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon conducted its final placement program jointly for all the three sections of 2011 batch namely Post-Graduate Program in General Management, Post -Graduate Program in Human Resources and Post-Graduate Program in International Management.  The 2011 batch had a total of 316 students. However, only 305 students participated in the placement program as rest of the 11 students decided to either start their own business or join existing family businesses. Almost 110 companies took part in the final placement process at MDI, Gurgaon. Among them 43 companies were new entrants in the MDI placement program. Consulting and Finance Companies were leading recruiters in MDI Gurgaon placement program 2011.

Marketing
Majority of students opted for a marketing career in various companies such as Pepsi, Proctor&Gamble, Coca Cola, Airtel, Idea, Axis Bank, Vodafone, ICICI, Videocon, ITC and Castrol.
Finance
Finance sectors represented by firms such as Goldman Sachs, Nomura, Citi, Standard Chartered, American Express, ICICI Bank, JP Morgan Chase , Religare, SBI capital and Axis Bank absorbed 31 % of students to join their companies.
Consulting
About 20% of students accepted offers from companies such as Deloitte, Hewitt, Infosys, Accenture, Ernst & Young, Mercer, Cognizant, TCS, and HCL.
Operations and Analytics
These sectors also extended offers to students of 2011 PGPM Batch.

2. Post Graduate Program in HR (PGP-HR)
Consulting and Financial services sectors were favorites for students of Post Graduate Program in HR (PGP-HR) 2011 batch. Many of them joined companies such as Ernst & Young, Aon-Hewitt, Mercer Consulting, Franklin Templeton Schneider Electric, ITC, Bharti Airtel, Procter &Gamble and ICICI to assume the post of HR.  7 students from this class received Pre-placement offers.

 

3. Post Graduate Program in International Management (PGP-IM)
Students of Post Graduate Program in International Management (PGP-IM) accepted offers from companies such as Deloitte, Biocon, RPG, Aspiring Minds and Avalon Consulting. The impressive placement drive at MDI Gurgaon reinstated MDI's status as the next destination for the corporate world.
