The duration of the program is one year. It is approved by DEC, Government of India. The duration of Advance Certificate in Management (ACM) is six months.
Q: What are the unique features of the Distance MBA programs offered by AIMA?
A: Firstly, I would like to say that AIMA is the pioneer of the Distance MBA programs. The programs are approved by AICTE. Its uniqueness lies in the study materials we provide and the high technological pedagogy. The high quality study materials and the transparent evaluation process are some of the unique features. There are large number of study centers with technological support such as e learning, video conferencing etc. Faculty and corporate support are also mentionable.
Q: What is the industry acceptability of the Distance MBA programs?
A: I would say the industry acceptability of the students of Distance MBA from AIMA is fairly good. Quality wise AIMA students are much valued and preferred by the industry. An MBA from AIMA through Distance MBA is much valued by the industry, the proof of which lies in the growth and promotion opportunities of the students.
Q: What is the scope for the students who come for the Distance MBA programs, for both working professionals and graduates?
A: For working professionals, Distance MBA provides opportunities in promotion in their work place, or a better job opportunity. But those who are not working professionals, for them it is a little difficult to develop in the professional world, but if they get any professional degree, then it will be beneficial for them. Another advantage is that it is very cost effective and it can reach the mass in general.
Q: What is the future of Distance MBA in India and as the Director of AIMA-CME, what are your future plans?
A: Distance MBA is in a great demand. The mode of learning is convenient for many. The continuous learning through the video conferencing, chat and other technological methods benefit the students. The e-library and faculty help can solve their queries any time.
As far my and AIMA's plans are concerned, we want to reach quality education those who are needy. Through distance learning we can reach the mass. We want to bridge the gap. We emphasize on providing skillful learning.
