HP-CMAT is a common entrance test for admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme for all the universities/Institutions affiliated to universities in Himachal Pradesh. In accordance with the UGC guidelines there shall be only one entrance test for all such Institutions. The Government of Himachal Pradesh, Department of Technical Education has designated (MBA Deptt.) Institute of Management Studies, HP University Summerhill, Shimla-5, as the Nodal agency for conducting Entrance Test for MBA admission to all the Universities/ Institutions affiliated to universities in HP. HP-CMAT 2011 Eligibility

The candidates should not be more than 26 years of age except NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign National candidates/students, and serving/retired defence personnel. For the SC/ST candidates, there is a relaxation of three years in the upper age limit.

The candidates need to have passed in graduation or its equivalent examination under 10+2+3 scheme, from any recognized University.

The qualifying examination must be passed by the candidates with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. In case of SC/ST candidates, they need to have passed graduation with at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination.

HP-CMAT 2011 Fees

The application form along with prospectus can be obtained either from the institute’s cash counter by depositing Rs.500/- (Subsidized & non-Subsidized) (Rs. 250 for SC/ST candidates) or by post by sending a Demand Draft for Rs.550/- (Subsidized & non-Subsidized) (Rs.300 for SC/ST candidates) in favour of “Director, IMS HP University”, payable at Shimla.
