IBSAT 2011 Entrance Exam

ICFAI business schools allow students to get admitted only after they qualify an entrance examination called IBSAT. This examination is held every year to select students willing to be a part of ICFAI business schools.
ICFAI business schools are a part of the famous the Indian Institute of Charted Accountancy Analysts of India University. ICFAI is not restricted to a particular zone or campus. It is well spread all over India and it has its campuses in some major cities like Ahmedabad, Dehradoon, Goa, Gurgapon, Chennai, Lucknow, Kolkata, Kochi, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Pune, and Noida and in few more cities. Al together the number of campuses of ICFAI business schools are 19 in India.
The selection of the candidates is done only through the examination IBSAT, which is mandatory for one to get admitted. The way in which t eh ranks and the merit orders are prepared is given below:
• IBSAT - 25%
• Past Academic Record - 20%(10th-7%,12th-7%,Degree-6%)
• General Knowledge Test- 10%
• Micro presentation - 20%
• Interview - 20%
• General Essay (in English) - 5%
Availability of forms for IBSAT 2011:
Candidates can get the IBSAT forms along with bulletin from any of the IBS Campuses. They can also apply online and the payment can be made through credit card. The application form can also be downloaded from the IBSAT website and the form can be sent along with the required documents and a demand draft to the admission Office.

IBSAT Test Date: end of April, 2011
Last Date for receipt of application: third week of April, 2011
Availability of admit card at IBSAT website: From beginning of April, 2011 onwards
Interviews: mid of May, 2011
Eligibility criteria:
Eligibility criteria for IBSAT requires a candidate to be either a graduate or in final year of graduation with atleast 50% marks in graduation. The candidates in their final year have to submit an application attested from the head of the institute in which the candidate is studying. Also a candidate should not be more than 25 years as on May 1st, 2011.
Pattern of examination:
IBSAT is of two and a half hours. In first two hours objective questions are asked from the following sections: quantitative techniques, data adequacy, and vocabulary, reading comprehension, data interpretation and analytical reasoning. In next half an hour candidates have to write an essay of about 400 words on a given topic.
