NITIE is organizing ‘EnVision 2010’, at Hotel Peninsula Grand, Andheri (E) on August 20th (Friday)
NITIE (National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai), consistently ranked as one of the top ten B Schools in our country, is organizing ‘EnVision 2010’ at Hotel Peninsula Grand, Andheri (E) on Friday, 20th August, 2010. It is an exclusive event which stresses on Environment Safety and CSR Initiatives. It provides a unique platform where corporate delegates and B School students come together to discuss the vital role of Corporate Sustainability in today’s business scenario.
EnVision is the flagship event of PGDISEM (Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety and Environment Management) programme, the only course of its kind in Asia Pacific focused on sustainability as an operational metric. It is a daylong event which encompasses four main events – “Sustainability Forum" a corporate panel discussion, “Let’s Go Green” an inter college case study competition, “EnQUIZitive” an Enviro Business quiz and “Panorama” a photography competition.
The "Sustainability Forum", where stalwarts from the industry come together to focus upon a pressing issue in the world of Environment, Corporate Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility, is the highlight of EnVision. This year, the panel will be deliberating on the topic - "Green Products - from Rhetoric to Reality". The panelists participating are Mr. Ganesh Tripathy (Head EHS and Sustainability, South Asia, Unilever), Mr. Sachin Khandelwal (Senior General Manager, ICICI Bank, Head - Go Green Initiative), Mr. Niranjan Khatri (General Manager, Welcomgroup, ITC, Head – Enviro Initiatives), Mr. Uday Bhaskar (General Manager, Environment, Essar Group); Mr. Vijay Khole (General Manager, Research & Development, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd.) and Mr. Sudhir Chavan (Principal Consultant, PE International). Together, as these luminaries share their knowledge and expertise, the students will gain an insight into the green products industry.
Teams from NITIE Mumbai, FMS Delhi, NMIMS Mumbai and IIM Kozhikode have left the rest far behind to reach the finals of "Let’s Go Green", the live case study sponsored by PE International. "EnQUIZitive" will see teams from IIM Shillong, FMS Delhi, IIFT Delhi, MICA and NITIE Mumbai compete against each other to win the unique quiz that combines aspects of environment and business. "Panorama" the photography competition, an addition to EnVision this year, has already received an overwhelming response from the student fraternity. The theme is "Water – Facets and Forms".
There has been an unprecedented response for all the preliminary rounds of the events in EnVision from top B Schools across India. EnVision promises to embody the essence of PGDISEM programme and reinforce the spirit of environment safety in our actions.
