Non-disclosure agreement does not allow CAT aspirants to reveal the question papers
The organisers of the online Common Admission Test (CAT) 2010 have set stringent rules as far as non-disclosure agreement is concerned, to make the test fair, ensure level-playing field for all candidates. However, doubts arise whether candidates are adhering to the agreement and those who had already taken the test are not revealing anything about the question papers to their friends, who will take the test in the coming days.
However, signing the non-disclosure agreement is a must, otherwise, the candidates won’t be allowed to take the test.According to the organisers, Indian Institutes of Managements (IIMs) and Prometric India, disclosing, publishing, reproducing, transmitting, storing or facilitating transmission and storage of the contents of CAT exam is punishable and shall be in violation of the Indian Contract Act, 1872 and/or the Copyright Act, 1957 and/or the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Such actions may constitute a cognisable offence punishable with imprisonment for a term up to three years and fine up to `2 lakhs. Candidates who want to appear for CAT have to agree to a non-disclosure agreement at the time of the test.According to sources, many candidates feel that those who will take the test at a later slot have advantage over the ones, who took the test on the initial days.
Prometric has confirmed that 8116 candidates registered for the CAT yesterday and both the sessions have concluded with no major issues reported.Overall difficulty level of CAT 2010 is higher than the previous year 2009.
