Staff Achievements
Prof. R.S. Acharya was awarded the Ph.D. Degree in ‘Applied Mathematics’.
Prof. (Dr.) C.S. Garde of Applied Physics Department is engaged in post-doctoral research as a visiting scientist at University of Osaka, Japan.
Prof. Y.H. Dandavate, Prof. R.B. Ghongade have completed their work for the Ph.D. and have submitted the synopsis to University of Pune, towards acquiring Ph.D. degree.
Prof. A.V. Chitre completed his M.Tech. in ‘Digital Systems’ and has secured 1st rank in University of Pune for this course.
Prof. M.S. Kurulekar completed his M.Tech in Civil Engg. from Government College of Engineering, Nanded.
Prof. R. B. Ghongade & Prof. Y.H.Dandwate were deputed to Kaulalampur for presentation of technical papers in an International Conference.
Prof.(Dr.) H.M. Pathan of Engineering Science was included in IBC’s Top-100 Students of year 2007 by IBC, Cambridge (U.K.)
Prof. Y.D. Deshpande has passed QMS Lead Auditor Program conducted by BSI (U.K.)
Mr. Muley, Mr. Firame from IT department, Mr.Suryawanshi, Mr.Malhare, Mrs. Anuradha Kore & Mrs. Manisha Gade from Computer Engg. and Mr. Anup Ingle from E&TC Engg., completed CISCO’s CCNA certifications.
Specific mention also needs to be made of commendable efforts put in By Prof. R.B. Ghongade towards development of standalone microprocessor based Gesture Recognition System for use by deaf / dumb persons. A prototype was built with help of three BE (E&TC) students of 2006-07 batch. Prof. Ghongade, alongwith BE students have also filed a Patent application for this innovative work.

BE student Ms. Ruhi Kulkarni of Information Technology branch 2006-07 stood FIRST in the university securing 80% marks.
Nishant John Nereyeth of FE Division D represented India at an International Rugby Meet in Brunei.
A team consisting of Pradyumna Namjoshi, Vineet Mukim, Prasad Narute and Deepak Gore of FE Division D won the Inter-collegiate Robotics Event held in VIIT as part of ‘Perception 2008’.
F E students have visited Jamgaon, the village adopted by VIIT under Samarth Bharat Abhiyan, to help Std. XI and XII students with their studies.
