“A healthy mind lives in a healthy body”
We have heard the words of wisdom, but how many of us exercise the wisdom. Or when do we exercise the wisdom? Most probably and obviously when your lifestyle is threatened or you receive some shocking news from the family doctor… your BP is too high, your cholesterol is high, you are diabetic. Now what?
It is never too late to start but it is always good to start early; when there are no red lights or amber lights. The best advice I got from a friend who lost 40 kilos in 10 months was :
- Break down your meals into small portions and spread it over 8 to 10 portions a day.
- Brisk walking every day for an hour.
The two simple and tough regimens can make you healthy and with a healthy body comes a healthy mind.
