Industry Interface

ISB&M prides itself at being at the forefront of emerging industry scenarios having eminent corporate share their ideas and experience in an attempt to keep abreast of changing industry trends and requirements.

Annual HR Conference
ISB&M holds various events, which play a vital role in facilitating such industry interface. ISB&M convenes an annual 2-day HR Conference, where industry leaders are invited to discuss and debate on emerging trends in Human Resources. The HR Conference is an initiative of the students and an example of its student-driven culture. The students handle the entire event including sponsorships, speakers, invitations, delegate participation, souvenir etc.

HR Share 2008
The 8th HR Share was held on September12 & 13, 2008, for the first time in the sprawling 13 acres campus of ISB&M. The event provides a platform for discussing the contemporary HR issues and is adorned by industry stalwarts. The theme for this year was “Move Ahead or Move Out – Driving on a high speed track.”

The keynote speech was delivered by Mr. Nikhil Mirchandani, MD National Geographic Channel and Dr. Nishikant Sonwalkar, Former Principal Architect, MIT, Boston.

Dr. Y. V. Verma, LG Electronics, Mr. Anuraag Maini, Sterlite Technologies, were among the other renowned speakers. The event was also witnessed by more than two hundred delegates.



Chain Act Seminar
‘Chain Act’ is a seminar where eminent speakers from industry share their contemporary ideas on Supply Chain Management. The topics handled during this event are mainly related to ‘Supply Chain’, ‘Operations’, ‘Logistics’, ‘Information Technology in Supply Chain’ and the strategies and tactics involved in operating these in real time scenario. Chain Act is initiated by the students as a platform to discuss and resolve the shortcomings of the recent developments in the field of Supply Chain & Operations Management.


Chain Act 2008
One –day seminar on Chain Act’08 was inaugurated by Mr. T. K Banerjee, Executive Director & Strategic Business Head, N K Minda Group, on November 8, 2008, at the Campus Auditorium, Nande Village, Pune. The theme topic for the seminar was “ Crafting a Resilient Supply Chain: Sailing through Turbulence”, and included addresses and stimulating discussions by industry leaders.
