The symptoms are real physical problems that are affected more by emotional factors. Undergoing emotional stress often increases tension in muscle, tightness and pain.

The primary thing required for curing stress back pain is to identify and then acknowledge the stress. The emotional issues leading to stress are well hidden in the subconscious mind. If the cause of back pain is repression, then discovering that repression is the best cure. Identify those situations and people that tend to bother you.
