Jalabert says its report to doping
The former world No.1 Laurent Jalabert has always had "full confidence" in the management of cycling teams in which he played, he said Wednesday.
"I ran into three teams. Like other runners, I had a framework in which I had full confidence. Whether in management, mechanical part, or medical level" Jalabert explained to the inquiry of the Senate who auditioned as part of its work on the effectiveness of the fight against doping.
The former champion, who was also the coach of the France team cycling between 2009 and last February, admitted having received corticosteroid injections (now banned) "who were justified by AUT "(authorization for therapeutic use).
"But at no time, I have tried to meet some way doctors to improve my performance. I have not spent a great time to buy or to see banned products," he stressed.
