Save the rising IT cost --- It's the time to think above the outsourcing
It's the time to think above the outsourcing. There is no doubt that software testing costs money and in many cases it costs significant amounts of money. In order to save money I don’t think anyone will take an initiative to stop testing work. The fact is that we can not move our code into production without testing or doing compromise on testing work. Many times and many places I read “doing testing and finding bugs in the early stages of SDLC saves money.” I agree with this statement and it is true. But the question hits my mind……….. “Is this the only way of saving Software Testing cost?”
My experience in testing is not limited to one domain or one client or one process or one company. I worked with many different companies, clients, process, domains….etc. In short it would not be wrong to say that I have seen and tasted many different flavor of this testing world. In the last 7-8 years I have studied and monitored very closely, my each and every project. Also I have done thorough analysis of feedback taken from many people involved in software testing. Outsourcing the testing is not the only option towards cost reduction. I concluded that still there is a lot to do to save the cost of software testing. I noticed and still I see in my day to day work that there are significant amount of spending in the name of Software testing and quality assurance which can be reduced up to 50% and in some cases more.
I can pig point many areas where one need to focus in order to save cost. Let me tell you that each and every project/product testing is different and it varies because of many factor. No standard or defined testing process can be the same for each and every project/product. I am looking forward to help and prove any clients/companies in order to save their rising IT cost.
