Is their any end to the scenario of Sacking of employees?
Hi all,
First of all thanks to Silicon India team for the platform provided........now moving to my content guys recently i visited a few companies and met some of my friends in various industries and everyone was telling me the story of how people are being sacked and the chances of these people as well. A good friend of mine was working for a Telecom giant of India at outsourced basis for continuous 4 yrs. and 3 days back in a meeting he was told "Mr. X we are really happy with your work and you are being transferred to Q&A department". As usual in the evening he met me and shared his happiness. The very next he called me and told "Brother bad news the whole profile is being deleted from the system and the whole team is to be sacked". Imagine what these 50 people are going to face all of a sudden. Is it Fair? 2-3 days i came through an article in a national daily with a heading"1 lakh employees to be sacked from IT industry" what is the logic of hiring so many people like anything and then suddenly sacking them without giving proper reason and prior notice. Is their any end to such things. Why is it so that companies went for campus interviews for their IT firms and hired people of each and every branch. Being a mechanical engineer i don't think i can be a very good software engineer, still if i am in i won't think of that i will be thrown out with a reason that my degree is not of the concerned branch if the industry is going through a bad phase an alternate should be thought of and then people should be adjusted in that manner. Same is with other indusries.
Why to hire when the companies know that things won't be working out properly. These kind of things should be well thought, SATYAM has a proper excuse as the management is in troule why others are doing the same. Recession hit was known to everyone but things are to be planned for the benefit of employees and just SACKING is no alternative. I heartly disagree with this kind of act.
All kinds of acceptance and disagreements regarding my views and thoughta are always welcome.
Regards
