Search Engine Optimization: Is It an Option or a Requirement?
A few years back, an average small business owner was happy having a website. He wouldn’t care for getting his site SEO optimized. He would just assure that once the site goes live, it would instantly appear in search-engines like Google for search queries for which it’s relevant.
Even these days, some get into debates whether SEO is an option or a requirement; SEO is of course, a requirement if you’ve a site that you want to see in search engine result pages (SERPs).
Who’s going to talk about it: the client or the SEO Company?
Don’t expect the client to bring up the SEO topic in the discussion, and thus, the onus lies on the agency to tell the client how important it is to optimize the site for SEO. Now, if the client refuses (because of the extra costs involved), he’ll curse himself a few months down the line when he’ll realize his mistake.
Let’s face it: a site which is not found by Google is almost invisible. SEO shouldn’t be considered as a separate task to do once the site is ready to go; instead it is something that needs to be done, from the very beginning of site-building. Of course, the site owner can opt for paid promotion ways to promote his website (such as PPC ads), however, the significance of SEO can’t be underestimated at any cost.
SEO services are not an option at all; it is a requirement now. And, it’s damn important for you if you want to see your site running upwards on Google’s search pages on relevant queries. Just because you’ve a site up and running doesn’t mean that it’ll automatically show up in search results. You’ve to have an SEO Company work on your site. And, with so many companies around, it won’t take you much of effort. Search Google for SEO companies in and around Delhi, and you are likely to find at least one thousand companies. The onus, however, lies on you to compare the best ones and then, pick the one which matches your expectations in the best manner possible.
For the Agencies:
Remember clients don’t know much about site building, SEO, SMO and other things. All they may know is that they need a website. Many of them seem to assume that once they have a website it will naturally be found in Google for search queries for which it’s relevant.
