Shaolin Kung Fu to train body, mind and spirit
As a teacher who teaches the primary and pre-primary classes, I believe that martial arts especially the Shaolin Kung Fu must be taught to children from a very young age.
Every locality needs a Shaolin Kung Fu School. I have always been fascinated with martial arts since I was a child and especially because a part of my childhood was spent in China.
While I grew up in Europe and America, I read about Shaolin Kung Fu on the internet and when I became a teacher I was eager to share a little bit about this great art with children.
The history of the Shaolin Temple in China claims that the temple was established by an Indian Buddhist monk who went to China at the behest of the then Chinese Emperor. Hence there is a long and deep-rooted historical connection between Shaolin and India. Shaolin Kung Fu styles are variants of Kung Fu that developed in the Shaolin Temple of China. The monks of the Shaolin Temple honed the skills and the talents that were developed since the time before Shaolin temple came into being. The practice of Shaolin Kung Fu by the particular order of the Buddhist Monks of the Shaolin Temple was a part of their religious practice and training. Shaolin Kung Fu is not a martial art in the conventional meaning of martial art but a discipline, a way of life for the followers; the Shaolin temple monks.
Shaolin India or the Indian branch of the Chinese Temple Monastery training is an attempt of these masters to impart the knowledge and skill that they have derived from their rigorous training in China to the people of India. Only that Shaolin Kung Fu School that has been established by these trainers who have been trained at the Chinese monastery. I am keen to learn this great martial art myself, so that I can teach my young students in my school.
