Find out more about iTunes

You know that many people are Apple user, everyone may have ipod, iohone or ipad. These all need to use itunes certainly and that’s means itunes is very popular now. iTunes, Apple's digital media player application, was introduced in January 2001. The application allows you to organize and play your digital music and podcast files. iTunes is available as a free download for Mac OS X, Windows Vista and Windows XP. But, are you all clued up about it? Let’s get some more.

iTunes is available free from Apple's Download iTunes page. And it was not hard to see that iTunes was not only growing quickly even over seven years but faster than some longstanding platforms. At 225 million accounts, it was still growing at a logarithmic scale, Asymco saw. The Xbox 360, Windows Mobile, and Symbian had tapered off either at the same seven-year mark or earlier. With iTunes, you can:

Listen to Internet radio.

Listen to CDs.

Import music from your CDs.

Buy music and videos online.

Burn CDs or DVDs.

Convert music to a different format..

Listen to and view podcasts.

Export to a non-Apple.

Export to a non-Apple MP3 player.

Create playlists: Once you have stored your music on your hard drive, you can play it in any order you like by creating a playlist. You can organize your music according to artist, album, or song title as well. Also, you can also transfer songs from ipad to itunes for backup.

Synchronize with your iPod, iPhone, or iPad..

Over half from last year, the educational service of the iTunes Store, iTunes U, has seen over 600 million downloads so far, Apple has disclosed. Apple rarely discusses iTunes statistics, much less for iTunes U, which provides lectures and other podcast content from schools such as Harvard, MIT and Oxford. Surprisingly, even though iTunes U has been around since 2007, Apple says that over half of the 600 million downloads were made during the past year. The acceleration could be attributable to several causes, such as growing popularity of Mac and iOS devices, or Apple attempts to ingrain all of its products into schools.

As you would expect, I like ipad most now and ipad 3 is also coming sson. But if you have lot’s of photos, songs, movies and other files on your ipad like me, I think you really need to copy files to ipad without itunes sometimes. I don’t want to lose all the files again.

At last, I would like to introduce you my favorite Visualizers to get you started.

Punkt Visualizer

Punkt is a Quartz Composer Visualizer that is much cooler than it appears in this screenshot. Colors burst to the beat of your music.

Dragon Visualizer

Dragon features a squishy, squirmy dragon dancing to your music. I almost feel like this one borders on being somewhat icky — but it’s truly awesome.

WhiteCap Visualizer

WhiteCap places dynamic wireframe mesh visuals on your screen, cycling through colors and traveling through space.

Wishing you would like it.
