Heart byepass surgery. Is it a money making mechine for hospitals?

Recently it is noticed that many super speciality hospitals doing only scanning and byepass heart sugery have come up in india. They charge between 3-6 lakhs per patient.

Anybody having slight pain in the chest / back or left hand is immediatley done a ECG and reffered to cardiologist for threadmill and scanning / angiography. Then invariably in 90% of the cases they advise either angioplasty or bye pass surgery depending on pocket of the patient.

Even after having a byepass, there is no guarantee. Another byepass may be required after 3-5years.And again the same procedure and big bill.

Fear is created among the patients that if the sugery is not done he will die. Even after the sugery the patient lives in fear only. And how can a poor worker or farmer collect that much of money for surgery?

It is high time a law has to be passed regarding all the surgical procedures.DO AND DONTS.What is your opinion?
