How does KPO differ from BPO?
India
has a huge pool of Information Technology (IT) talent & is rapidly
becoming the worldwide KPO hub. Since the time immemorial, knowledge
has being the key potential of India.
But how does KPO differ from BPO? KPO (Knowledge Process Outsourcing)
requires off shoring of intensive knowledge business processes that
need expertise, thereby, delivering big values to companies by
providing business specializations. Online teaching, processing of
legal & insurance claims, investment research, value research,
patent filing and supply of media content are few examples of KPO.
BPO or Business Process Outsourcing, on the other hand, is a
pre-defined manner to handle various business processes that are taught
to employees or to the agents. BPO services usually include transaction
processes, setting up of bank accounts, selling of insurance policies,
technical support systems, email and voice-based support.
KPO services can help the organizations to manage serious hardware
competently, reduce design-to-market lead times, offer research on
markets, services, products and competitions and boost the organization
competence. Concisely, it provides all that what is needed to assist in
dealing with fast growing business scenarios. Off shoring Research and
Development in pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms is yet another
zone where there are immense growth prospects for KPOs.
At present, only a few Indian companies are working for the KPO sector.
But if the number of new jobs opportunities and fortune generation are
taken into account, KPO will hold the position of premier segment in
the outsourcing business.
When evaluated, it is anticipated that the number of professionals
serving the offshore industry are estimated to grow as more companies
have decided to get involved in KPOs and BPOs. Whatever the future is going to be I am sure India is all set to emerge as very strong economy in the world.
