Where will aviation technology take us?
What an interesting and exciting time to be alive on planet earth today!
Who would have thouht a mere 100 years after the Wright brothers flew their first test plane, aviation technology have developed so much. Nowadays, air travel is something that most of us take for granted, some may even make use of it on a daily basis to commute from place to place.
The avaition industry has turned the possibility of travelling not only into an industry worth billions, but also changed our perceptions and lives completely. It is interesting to see the advent of new technology being integrated into the aviation industry over the years. It seems to be an ever evolving, ever changing phenomenon.
If we just consider the past sixty years or so, we can see how the ability to fly an airplane has moved away from being primarily driven by pilot skills, to ever increasing integration of technology and innovation. More and more of the critical decisions during flight are now being taken over by sophisticated computers running and controlling almost every aspect of the flying experience

Systems cabable of making thousands and thousands of critical, real time, in flight decisions are becoming, or should one say - has become an integral part of an airplane these days. Lightweight, fuel efficient materials are used to construct planes that not only make it easier to fly, but also safer, stronger and more durable.
Due to this reason, manufacturers are able to push the boundries of size and range of new aircaft ever further. Today we see bigger aircraft, weighing less, more intelligent and more efficient than ever before. It is staggering to think about how far technology has evolved in this industry in the last 100 years alone, and we wonder: where will it take us next? Higher, further, faster?
Most probably - and this would probably be done more efficiently than ever before.
