Action packed Indian Grand Prix
 
  
 October 30th 2011 witnessed thousands of Motor sports fans who were  waiting for this day to see thier heros performing in front of them at  the Buddh Internationdal circuit in greater Noida .Few years back no  body had ever dreamt that India will host formula one.Formula One was  not a very popular sport in India, thanks to Dr. Mallya the team  principal and managing director of Sahara Force India, who brought this  sport to India, with the take over of Spyker F1 and later branding it as  Force India team.
Formula One has always remained a bastion of the western world. The advent of this exiting sport in India is pride for all our countrymen.A decade ago, we watched heros like Michel Schumacher with his red ferrari on television, little did we know that one day India will host Formula one. Today we can proudly announnce that India too can host a Formula one race. India is not far behind in hosting Olympics next.
It was an action packed day at the Buddh International circuit, with  lots of known personalities walkin past the circuit. The Grid girls  posed on the circuit prior to the start of the Formula One Indian Grand  Prix .Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, a self-confessed Formula One fan  witnessed the race along with his wife Anjali and daughter Sara . Sachin  also did the honours of waving the chequered flag at the end of the  race for the new world champion Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull. Yuvraj  Singh and Harbhajan Singh were among the
 other cricketers present at the circuit.The Bollywood world was  represented by Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Gulshan Grover among  others.
A lot was expected from Narain Karthikeyan, the lone Indian driver finished 17th on Sunday at the inaugural Indian Grand Prix.Sahara Force Indian driver Paul Di Resta carried the poster of Bollywood superhero Shah Rukh Khan, which was prominently displayed on the nose cone of Force India cars as a part of his film’s promotion (Ra.One).
