Interruptions in the Conversion Process Causing MDB File Corruption
There are different reasons contributing to MS Access database (MDB file) corruption. One of the reason for its corruption is interrupted conversion process of an Access database from an earlier version of MS Access. These interruptions disturb the process and cause it to stop. This further ignites the chances of mdb file corruption. When the file gets corrupted, its contents get out of your reach. To get your data back, you need to have a valid backup file. But, if the backup file is not available, then you need to Recover Access Database via a powerful third-party repair tool.
For example – If you have an Access database and you want to convert it from an earlier version of MS Access, then the process may seem problematic and you may also receive an error message:
“There were compilation errors during the conversion or enabling of this database. The database has not been saved in a compiled state. The performance of this database will be impaired because Access will need to recompile the database for each session.”
When this error occurs, the conversion process comes to a halt or fails.
Cause:
This error message usually occurs if the conversion process is interrupted by power failure, improper system shutdown, etc. This renders the Access database corrupt and you may not be able to open or mount your database. Hence, your data becomes inaccessible.
Resolution:
When an Access database gets corrupted, you can use an inbuilt repair tool in MS Access, known as 'Compact and Repair'. This tool helps you recover the contents of the Access database.
However, it fails if the database is severely damaged. In such a case, you will have to use a MDB Repair software to Repair MDB File completely. Though many such applications are available in the market, it is advisableed to select a software, which can repair and restore MDB file without altering or modifying the original contents of the file. Also, you need not be tech-savvy to use these repair tools as they are equipped with interactive graphical user interface.
Access Recovery Software is one such powerful software, that is fully capable of repairing the MDB files as it employs extensive repair algorithms to do that effectively. This Access Recovery software recovers all database fields, including images. It supports MS Access 2007, 2003, 2002, and 2000; and is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2003, and 2000.
