JK Padampat Singhnia Institute of Management and Technology (JKPS) Center for Corporate Relations is its flagship division that is strengthening its network with the top-most organizations in the country. To begin with, JKPS has the advantage of being backed by the JK Group and its chain of corporate linkages. The institution is further developing relationships with top corporate houses to provide opportunities for summer trainings and industrial tours to its students. The institution also boasts of linkages with top industry professionals who regularly visit the campus and interact with the students and faculty members.
The institution is driven by the philosophy that all teaching-learning processes in different areas of Management must be in sink with industrial practices. That’s why a world-class business school must work out a strategic synergy between theory and practice. It is exactly this synergy that JKPS is seriously building. In fact, its entire academic content has been carefully designed after consultations with management experts and top business leaders from the industry.
The institution’s corporate cell identifies special training requirements for participants in areas like communication skills, writing abilities, facing interviews and making effective presentations. The flagship Personality Development Program offered to every participant improves their interpersonal and communication skills and betters their chances of getting good corporate placements.
In addition, the Center for Corporate Relations is working to develop special competencies in areas like Entrepreneurship, Small Business Management, Retailing, Logistics, Supply Chain and Services Management. It is also going to develop research competencies in areas like Gender Issues, Business Ethics and Environmental Management. The idea is to offer advanced training and management consulting solutions to organizations in different domain areas.
JKPS’s Placement Cell, a part of the Center for Corporate Relations, assists student participants in career planning, job selection and pre-induction training. It draws its strength from the parent JK organization. Apart from liaison with the industry, the cell constantly monitors the job market, profiles changes in skill and knowledge requirements and feeds information to the curriculum committee for modifications in the academic content, depending on industry feedback.
