The school is in talks with some of the leading institutes in the US and Europe for bringing in visiting faculty. The full-time residential programme, targeting executives with over three years of experience, is aimed at helping them acquire skills to take up transition to the senior management levels.

“We will start the programme in April next year. The course fee will be Rs 9.45 lakh and it will include accommodation, food and other facilities that could be availed by students on the campus. Initially, we are planning to admit 60 students and if the demand goes up, we will increase our student intake,” said Prof DS Rao, director of ICFAI Business School.

The school is also planning to conduct an executive business aptitude test as part of the selection criteria. “The test will be entirely different from the common admission test conducted by IIMs and other leading management institutes in the country. As it is a flexible education programme for the experienced, we will test basic maths, analytical and soft skills and leadership abilities,” he said.

The institute has designed the curriculum for the new programme in consultation with leading Indian industries. “Our objective is to equip students to handle Indian industry needs. After the completion of this course, we expect that students will be able to take up senior management-level responsibilities without undergoing any special training programme. They will be productive from day one,” he said.

ICFAI Business School is planning to bring visiting faculty from leading B-Schools abroad. “This will help our students get a wider perspective on worldwide trends in business and international business affairs,” he said. According to him, the PG programme adopts a general management approach.

“This ensures that the participants will complete the programme with a solid foundation of skills and knowledge in different functional areas of business management,” he said. The institute is currently building a special residential complex on its 90-acre campus at Sankarpalli near Hyderabad. “The building will be ready soon. We also offer limited family accommodation facility,” he added.
