In most of our cultures, we thought that girls and women cannot do what the men are doing. Say for example, men’s job is to build a house and women can’t build. It is not because women cannot build a house, it’s just that this job is said to be men’s job.
Discrimination of girls and women in all works of life is an ongoing issue that we as a country must try to eradicate for the sake of giving men and women alike, equal opportunities.
It is important that we as a nation work together to level the playing field for girls and women ensuring that they are treated fairly and given equal opportunities in the workplace and also to develop their talents.
The aim of this is to promote “provision of equal opportunities for both men and women in the workplace”.
The Indian Government is a keen supporter of gender equality and through its support hopes to facilitate greater opportunities for women in the workplace.
Women have never in their life done such a job before, however did a fantastic job. Some of them are housewives and girls who stayed at home doing housework. But from what they are doing it gives them confidence and self esteem in themselves.
Though it is their first time, they have shown real courage and prove to men that painting is not just the work for men, woman can do it too.
The women said they can do any job if given the opportunity. They said they have learnt a lot and gained a wealth of experience during their one week of painting job.
It is time that we should give women a fair go at our work places because they can do amazing results.
