Hi All,
I would like to thanks Harvi Sachar, CEO -Siliconindia for providing me this platform to share my experiences post-MBA.
About my first job was through campus placements, so didn't have run-around or take a hardened approach, since the first job didn't provide me enough opportunities to explore my potential strengths, as it was more of a PSU. After that the real exercise started for me. Three points that i had in mind when looking out for a career (more than just a job) were:
1. Specialisation that i had undertaken
2. My potential strengths in a domain that could help the company and vice-versa.
3. Growth prospects in that particular field
But, considering today's scenario in the join market, i would mention another point to be considered, i.e. what vale an you add to the job that other candidates cannot, since companies today are hiring not just to fill the requirements, but also to see what more can the new person get to the table for reviving the company's business.
