How to rip BD Digital Copy to Android Tablet with ChewTune?
Pavtube Digital Copy to Android Tablet-transfer Blu-ray Digital Copy to Android playable MP4 video
Days ago I started a thread on digital copy, hoping to get a solution that lets me put digital copy onto my Android tablet (received a Sony Tablet S for Christmas gift). Later I tried several DRM removing apps that recommended and finally find a way thru. I'm sharing my experience to those who feel like putting digital copy to Android tablet.
How do I transfer Blu-ray digital copy to Sony Tablet S:
1. Insert the digital copy disc to DVD-ROM and transfer Blu-ray digital copy to computer, either in M4V or WMV format. This process is straight-forward, you may refer to this guide for detailed steps.
2. Remove DRM from digital copy, and convert it to Android friendly format.
The app I use: Pavtube ChewTune ($29)
Detailed steps:
Step 1. Run ChewTune, drag and drop digital copy movie to the software.
Step 2. Select an Android friendly format, e.g. H.264 .mp4 for conversion. I choose "Common Video" > "H.264 Video (*.mp4)" and it worked for my Sony Tablet and Galaxy S smartphone. So I think it's an universal format for Android devices. Yet the software does feature presets for some Android tablets: Galaxy Tab, Xoom, Iconia Tab, Kindle Fire, Nook tablet, PlayBook, and some others.
Step 3. Click the big "Convert" button to convert digital Copy to Android supported videos. The conversion takes quite a while but overall video quality is quite decent.
When conversion completes press "Open" and it'll find converted videos. In this way the DRM-protected digital copy is transferred to free video and is ready to put onto Android for playback.
Hope it helps~
