SCMHRD, a flagship institute under the prestigious Symbiosis International University started a unique MBA program for working professions. The uniqueness of this program lies in the program structure which is similar to our full-time MBA program. Even the faculties teaching this program are the ones that teach our full-time program. 


Working professionals can continue their work and obtain an MBA degree through this program.

The basic objectives of this program are:

- To transform successful managers into global business leaders.

- Develop knowledge in core areas of business including strategy formulation.

- Refining the interpersonal skills and leadership qualities.

- To broaden the understanding of organizational dynamics in order to increase their capacity in the task of reinventing organizations.

Working professionals who aspire to promote themselves to the management level of their companies can join this program. Self-made entrepreneurs, doctors, physicians, academic administrators and army personnel interested in further education can join this program. Managers interested to upgrade themselves with the latest trends in management and improve their technology base can join. Executives aspiring to switch their profiles to cross-functional domains will benefit from this program. 

Duration:

The program is offered over 30 months comprising 5 semesters. Students are offered general management subjects in the first two semesters, after which they can choose their elective subjects from various functional areas. Viz. Finance, HR, Marketing, Operations and IT Systems. The last semester, students are required to do a live project.

SCMHRD will admit a maximum of 45 students for Batch of 2009-2012


Eligibility:

Bachelor’s Degree of any statutory University or any other recognized Foreign University with three year post-qualification work experience in reputed organization. 
OR 
Diploma of any University/Board or any other recognized foreign University with five year experience in reputed organization


Eligibility under Industry Sponsored Category: The candidate must furnish the basic eligibility criteria for applying under this category. Candidate must be working in the sponsoring company at the time of admission. The top authorities like CEO or MD must sponsor the candidate and submit a letter to that effect. The candidate shall continue his services in the sponsoring company as long as he is doing the course. The moment he leaves, his admission will also be cancelled. The candidate must give an undertaking to that effect. 


For Industry Sponsor: Any company whose turnover is more than 5 crores. Preference will be given to companies having relationship with SCMHRD in terms of summer and final placements, live projects etc. 


Program Schedule:

The program will be conducted 5 days a week between 7:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. There will be an half hour dinner break. The days of the week will depend on the semester and chosen subjects. Hence it may or may not be conducted on weekends. Class will be held at our Hinjewadi Campus (Pune) 


Selection Process:

Candidates will have to appear for Group Discussions and Personal Interview. Each of the rounds can have independent testing panels. In addition, weightage is given to the candidate’s academic consistency, qualifications, work experience and extra-curricular activities. Candidates will has to submit their Recommendation Letter and State of Purpose (SOP) along with the application form. Selection procedure will be conducted the first week of July at SCMHRD campus, Hinjewadi. 


Fees:

Fees for the entire program will be Rs. 2,85,000 to be paid in 6 installments. Rs. 70,000 will have to be paid on confirmation of admission (includes caution money Rs 5000 payable at the time of admissions)


Award of Degree:

“Executive Master of Business Management” will be awarded at the end of fifth semester by taking into consideration the performance of all 5 semester examination after obtaining minimum 2.00 CGPA out of 4 CGPA. 


Application Procedure: Candidates can purchase the program brochure along with the application form at the institute (Hinjewadi) from 19-Apr-09 between 10:00 am. 8:00 p.m. for Rs. 500. Last date to submit your application forms is 25-May-09.
