went for semi-finals world cup three times 1992 then 1999 lost with australia by 1 runs then again in 2007 lost with australia again in semi-final
then india smashed them out in 2007 twenty twenty world cup... this 20 20 world cup they didnt even lose a single match but lost with pakistan which was supposed to go out in first round itself
and coming to mini world cup that is icc champions trophy as usual lost in semi finals in 2002 and 2006
so the fate of south africa remain unchanged let us see weather their fate changes in the icc champions trophy sep 2009
