Maintaining its position in USA market is useful for HTC to solve the existing threat. HTC is now the biggest smartphone manufacturer in USA but being threatened by Samsung Galaxy Nexus and APPLE iPhone 4S. Analysts estimate HTC revenue will see the minimum annual growth from 2009 financial crisis. Meanwhile, the profit will drop for the first time these two years.
Will Stofega, the analyst of market search IDC said, HTC was roses all the way two years ago and its products were so successful, being the supreme hot company in the mobile phone industry. However, the company failed to keep the trend. Now its products are not as popular as before.
According to the surveys from Bloomberg, HTC is expected to see revenue increasing 11% but profit decreasing 6.7% next year and it will be the worst performance of those in 2009, 2010 and 2011. The figures also show that HTC revenues increase 50 times within ten years (from 2000 to 2011).
HTC announced on 23rd Nov. that the estimated revenue for the fourth quarter has been cut 20% due to the fierce competition. As a result, the stock price fell 7% the following two working days and it has fallen 45% in total this year.
Since HTC adopted the estimated revenue, there are at least six investment organizations have degraded its credit rating and more and more analysts suggest the investors to undersell HTC stocks, for the first time these two years. Yet Juesheng Rong, CFO of HTC refused to comment on it.
Apple accused HTC for four patents originally but ITC just supported one patent, the display patent of telephone number and others displayed in the files. The telephone number is in blue or other colors when being displayed in the text. Besides, through clicking the number it is available to enter dialing interface directly and dial out.
