I was wondering if you could advice me on pursuing a web development career.
Nevertheless I am student of Computer Information Systems, but there are very few internet-specific subjects in my curriculum. The sad part is in today’s world everything is happening over the Internet and we don’t have a subject completely focused on web development. I have a ‘never give up’ attitude and it triggered me on reading my way through books about PHP, MySQL, JavaScript…
I got quite a lot of tutorials over the Internet and it helped me to an extend. I was not getting the momentum in learning since there was no one to clear my doubts.
It was then I got a mail from one of my friend about the course, which siliconindia is providing on web development. The first thing attracted me was the fee they were offering the course in (being blunt here, I know we all care about the money we spend). I had worn-out a good amount of my parents money for my education till date, so I didn’t hesitate to ask my parents for the course fee. It was very much affordable and I thought let me give a try.
It had everything in it, which a new person needs to know about web development. I was happy with teaching methodology; I could ring up to the instructors and chat with them.
I did my internship in web development through siliconindia itself. My project was selected as the best project in my college.
The only other thing I thought while joining the course was don’t be a Jack of all trades, become a specialist and position myself as an expert. Today I can confidently say that I can develop a best in class dynamic website on LAMP platform with the Web 2.0 standards.
My hearty thanks to siliconindia
