CAT 2011 notches up two thirds of registration capacity
Prometric has not disclosed the number of entries to date.
Soumitra Roy, Managing Director, Prometric India, said: "We provide comfort to potential candidates, Prometric has built more flexibility in place when necessary during the registration window during the first three weeks of recording, we've added a place in eight places as they quickly fill up to date as locations for reserves, we already have a full two thirds of total capacity. We will continue to monitor and adjust the capacity, but this will be difficult, as we approach the end of the registration window. I urge the candidates to register early to avoid last minute rush, or a disappointment of not having a date, or the center. "
"Prometric has provided sufficient capacity to meet increased enrollment in CAT 2010. However, it is too early to comment on the expected number of entries this year," he said.
In 2010, nearly 2.04 lakh candidates registered to run CAT. "We can not comment on whether the registration window will be shortened. However, if there will be changes for the candidates, we will make a public announcement," said Roy.
Records began Aug. 17 and runs through Sept. 26. Each ticket costs Rs 1600. A candidate belonging to the categories provided caste or tribe can get tickets for Rs 800.
