Under the MoU, the MFL is to record at least 200 students per year as IGNOU approved eligibility and to run programs approved by the learning centers only.

"This training will enable the marginalized sectors of society living in rural and remote areas to have a paid job in the industry, while promoting self-employment," said SR Balasubramanyam, head, social responsibility, GBS.

MFL would be responsible for developing the teaching methodology for each program based on their curriculum and specific learning objectives. It should also provide facilities and practices of the library and the evaluation of the assignment, according to the guidelines of IGNOU.

"Students can pursue these courses at certificate or diploma level, which may be given in the later stages," Rector Varsity, VN Rajasekharan Pillai said. IANS
