Nagpur University prof is VC of North Maharashtra University

Although the RTM Nagpur University may be new to most often for the wrong reasons, people associated with it to keep the peaks of a larger scale. Monday ', NU professor Sudhir Meshram was appointed Vice Chancellor of North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon (NMU).

Meshram is the head of the UN Department of Microbiology and joins a growing list of Nagpurians the head of the administration of different universities. Governor K Sankaranarayanan, who is also chancellor of all state universities, Meshram chosen by a panel of names. Meshram, who came to the city late at night from Mumbai, said he was delighted. "I will work hard to bring NMU at an international level and to ensure the proper administration of the Varsity. There are many tribal areas in the region, and I want to make sure that education will become more and more. Right now, I spend a few days in town before leaving for my new job, "said Meshram.

Meshram is the seventh Nagpurian can serve the VC State University. Other universities are in Nagpur, Amravati, YCMOU, Marathwada, Mumbai and Lonere (Raigad).

He holds a degree in Punjabrao Deshmukh Agriculture University, and has fond memories of his student life in the city. He has 26 years of experience teaching at the graduate level, including management experience, 17 years. Meshram received his Ph.D. in microbiology from the Indian Institute of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, and completed post-doctoral qualification in microbiology from the International Fund for Agricultural Development Centre, Netherlands.

He has published 120 scientific articles in national and international journals, was about to Meshram UN Department of Microbiology, and director Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology of the last 16 years.
