HTC Titan II Can Be Ordered Online Now
The Titan II sports an impressive 4.7" Super LCD screen, 16gb of storage, and a really, really, really nice 16mp rear facing camera. The Titan II made a very respectable first impression and we'll have a full review up on the site shortly (hint: the Titan II ain't shabby). The Titan II joins another new Windows Phone that you might have read about, the Nokia Lumia 900. AT&T has once again built up a very admirable Windows Phone line up and hopefully they will put up the marketing efforts to support it. While an ultrasharp shooter sounds great, we're not sure about paying an extra $100 for the privilege. The phone's massive size could be an issue for smaller hands and the display wasn't as sharp as we'd like.
The HTC Titan II pushes the limit of just how big and capable a Windows smartphone can be. If it weren't for the lower-priced Nokia Lumia 900, the Titan II would be the greatest Windows Phone 7 handset to walk the earth. It seems like people would like to consider WP platform as the biggest competitor of iOS, as for Android, it just has less and less support rate. We can see that more and more Windows phones are coming to the market. Information form http://ievery.wordpress.com/ has shown that Samsung is going to release three Windows Phones this year. But we need to wait a little longer. However, if you just want to try why it feels like to use a Windows phone, HTC Titan II is a good choice.
If you’ve been waiting for one of the hot new Windows Phone offerings that have been in the works since CES 2012, your wait is over. Well, it’s over if you want to order online today. AT&T has the HTC Titan II and Nokia Lumia 900 available for purchase now.
According to the poll we did last week, 74% of you would grab the Lumia 900 over the Titan II. I can’t say I blame you based on the sale price. I actually expected HTC to do something about that price difference before they launched, but apparently they didn’t. The HTC Titan II and Nokia Lumia 900 prices are exactly as reported earlier.
The Nokia Lumia 900 is available for $99 with Contract and $449.99 without contract. The HTC Titan II is available for $199.99 with Contract and $549.99 without contract.
I hope for Microsoft’s sake that AT&T and Nokia help them out in a big way here. If these two devices don’t sell like hotcakes in the US, what will? They both are sporting LTE, they both have good-looking cameras, and they run the latest and greatest from Microsoft. They both can’t do screenshots natively either.
